Bo Bichette and Matt Chapman, Blue Jays

Bichette, who missed over two weeks earlier in the month with right knee patellar tendinitis, was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right quad strain.

Chapman, who had been dealing with a jammed finger for the past couple of weeks after putting a weight back on the rack, was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a right middle finger sprain. More >

Julio Rodríguez, George Kirby, Ty France and Jarred Kelenic, Mariners

Rodríguez was pulled from Seattle's starting lineup minutes before Tuesday's game due to left foot soreness.

Roughly two hours before first pitch on Tuesday, Kirby was pulled ahead of his 26th start of 2023 with an undisclosed illness.

France left early from Tuesday's game with a left wrist contusion. He is considered day to day. 

Kelenic (fractured left foot) is slated to join Triple-A Tacoma on a rehab assignment and be in their starting lineup on Thursday. More >

Yu Darvish, Jake Cronenworth and Joe Musgrove, Padres

Darvish was placed on the 15-day injured list with right elbow inflammation on Monday, retroactive to Aug. 26. More >

The expectation is that Cronenworth (right wrist fracture) will avoid surgery, but he will be in a cast for several weeks before he has more imaging to determine his next steps.

Musgrove played catch for the first time on Friday since landing on the 15-day injured list on Aug. 4 with right shoulder capsule inflammation. He said he got about 30 throws in, at 70-75 feet on flat ground, and his arm “felt great.” However, the Padres may consider shutting Musgrove down at some point if they aren't in contention in mid-to-late September. Tony Gonsolin and J.D. Martinez, Dodgers

Gonsolin will have Tommy John surgery on Friday, the Dodgers announced on Monday. The procedure will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache. More >

Martinez (groin tightness) is being targeted for a return during the Sept. 5-10 road trip to Miami and Washington and is not being pointed to a Minor League rehab assignment. More >

Jorge Soler, Marlins

Soler, who appeared to injure himself during a swing in the seventh inning of Tuesday's game, was removed and diagnosed with right hip tightness. More >

Matt McLain, Reds

McLain was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a right oblique strain. A National League Rookie of the Year contender, McLain was batting .290/.357/.507 with 16 homers and 14 stolen bases. More >

Jarren Duran, Red Sox

The Red Sox announced Tuesday that Duran will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a bad case of turf toe. More >

Mike Yastrzemski, Giants

Yastrzemski (left hamstring strain) is expected to be activated during the Giants' current series against the Reds. More >

Ryan Helsley and Lars Nootbaar, Cardinals

Back with the Cardinals following a fifth rehab outing on Sunday, Helsley (right forearm tightness) is hopeful that he will be activated from the injured list this week.

Out since Aug. 16 after fouling a ball off his groin, Nootbaar has progressed to the point that he will work out with the Cardinals for a second straight day on Tuesday and then go to Triple-A Memphis on a rehab assignment on Wednesday. More >

Gavin Williams and Josh Naylor, Guardians

Williams left Tuesday's start after one inning with right knee soreness. The rookie right-hander appeared to hurt himself after he slipped while throwing a pitch in the first inning. 

Naylor (right oblique strain) was scheduled to start a rehab assignment with Double-A Akron on Tuesday. More >

Nathan Eovaldi, Rangers

Manager Bruce Bochy said on Sunday that Eovaldi (right forearm strain) was feeling tightness in his side after his latest bullpen session on Thursday. Bochy said there is nothing wrong with Eovaldi’s arm, but the team wants to be cautious with the All-Star right-hander. More >

Alex Kirilloff and Byron Buxton, Twins

Kirilloff (right shoulder strain) and Buxton (right hamstring strain) are both set to begin rehab assignments with Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday. More >

Mickey Moniak and Chase Silseth, Angels

Moniak left Tuesday's game against the Phillies in the seventh inning because of back soreness. He tweaked his back when he made a leaping catch against the center-field wall on Monday, and it flared up during Tuesday's game.

Silseth, who was hit in the head on a throw from first to third in Saturday's game, was placed on the 7-day injured list on Tuesday. More >
