Only appearances of the season came in four starts for Triple-A Albuquerque from May 17-June 1 after being placed on the 10-day injured list with right forearm inflammation on April 4...In his four games with the Isotopes, went 0-2 with a 6.23 ERA (8.2 IP, 6 ER), six walks and 11 strikeouts while not allowing a home run...Missed the second half of the season with right elbow inflammation...Started three games for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, going 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA (7.0 IP, 7 ER).

Made his first Major League start since Sept. 20, 2019 on Sept. 24 vs. San Francisco, a span of 735 days between Major League starts...In his return to the mound, pitched 3.2 innings and allowed two runs on four hits with one walk and two strikeouts … didn’t factor into the Rockies 7-2 loss, leaving with two outs in the fourth inning with the game tied 2-2 … allowed two solo home runs, including a leadoff home run to Tommy La Stella on the second pitch of the game … also did not factor into the decision in his second and final game started, allowing five runs over two innings against the Nationals on Sept. 29....Made seven starts across three Minor League levels rehabbing from Tommy John, collecting a 3.94 ERA (16.0 IP, 7 ER) to go along with seven walks and 19 strikeouts...Saw his first in-game action on the mound in 698 days on Aug. 18 dating back to his last start on Sept. 20, 2019 with the Rockies … went two scoreless innings in the outing with High-A Spokane. ...Overall, went 0-0 with a 5.87 ERA (7.2 IP, 5 ER) in four starts with the Indians, striking out seven and walking six … Spokane went on to win all of their games in which Lambert started...Made two rehab starts with Double-A Hartford, posting a 3.18 ERA (5.2 IP, 2 ER) with no walks, nine strikeouts and a 0.88 WHIP … made his final rehab outing with Triple-A Albuquerque on Sept. 16, where he did not allow a run over 2.2 innings while striking out three and walking one.
